6 Powerful Mantras for Inner Peace – Shanti Mantras and their meaning

Shanti Mantras or the mystic syllables of peace begins with “Om”. Om is considered to be the primeval sound, the sound of the universe and the sound from which all other sounds are formed. The sacred syllable OM represents three Realms of Consciousness.

Shanti Mantras are generally recited at the beginning and end of religious rituals and discourses. They are supposed to calm the mind of the reciter and environment around him/her.

Reciting Shanti Mantras is also believed to be removing any obstacles for the task being started.

Shanti Mantras always end with three utterances of word “Shanti” which means “Peace”.
