18 Year old young girl has trained her cow to trot, canter, gallop and even jump around her farm near Invercargill, on New Zealand’s South Island.
Videos from Hannah’s Instagram account proves that cows can leap over 1.4 meters easily if trained. Hannah’s cow named, Lilac can actually gallop like a horse.
“I knew she was a good jumper because when she was younger, like only a few weeks old, she always jumped out of the cow shed – so we had to put blocks up against the gate to stop her jumping over,” Hannah told Newstube.
“She is a cow and I can’t expect her to ride like a horse,” she told the Guardian. “Without a bit of prodding she wouldn’t really do anything, she has a very chilled-out nature.”
Lilac received no formal training after Hannah first attempted to ride her 6 years ago following a dare from her brother.The cow was just a few months old at the time.
New Zealand is home to more than 5 million cows and New Zealand dairy companies processed more than 20 billion liters of milk in a year.
